Two of the most beloved My Little Pony micro-games ever made — the original 2014 Flash poking game by 4as, rebuilt in HTML5. Poke 45 chubby ponies. Boop 5 princesses. Discover the hidden Flutterbat. The adorable classic that inspired a whole generation of poking games, including No Touching Forsaken.
No Touching & Royal Boop is a pair of silly, cozy poking micro-games built around My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic characters. The artist 4as originally created them in Flash around 2014, then rebuilt them in HTML5 using Haxe and OpenFL so they would keep working after Flash was discontinued. They have been live on itch.io and Newgrounds since November 6, 2021.
No Touching! lets you poke 45 different chubby pony designs — main characters like Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie, villains like Nightmare Moon and Queen Chrysalis, fan favorites like Derpy and Fluffle Puff, plus deep-cut background ponies like Doctor Whooves and Fausticorn. Each one reacts in its own animated way.
Royal Boop is the royal companion piece: just five characters, all princesses or queens — Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, and Daybreaker — each with a unique laugh ripped directly from the show. 4as spent roughly five days separating the laughs from the background music, and the result is a tiny, perfect gallery of MLP's most iconic villainesses.
Three ponies short of a herd, but here is what kept players coming back for over a decade.
The No Touching roster is a who's-who of MLP fandom favourites — Mane 6, princesses, villains, background ponies, and even community originals like Fluffle Puff and Fausticorn. Every single one has bespoke reaction art and animation.
Royal Boop isn't a reskin — every princess's laugh is ripped directly from the show, sourced to specific YouTube clips 4as published alongside the game. Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, and Daybreaker each have their own moment.
Poke Fluttershy eight times and she transforms into Flutterbat — a loving nod to the season 4 episode "Bats!". It is the game's most-talked-about easter egg and a rite of passage for new players.
For a generation of MLP fans, this was the desktop toy they kept open in a browser tab. The HTML5 re-release means the nostalgia now works on phones, tablets, and any modern browser without Flash.

Two characters in No Touching are fan creations, not official MLP canon — included with permission. Fluffle Puff is the beloved fluffy pink pony from askflufflepuff.tumblr.com by Mixermike622. Fausticorn is the fandom's tribute to Lauren Faust, the show's original developer. The chubby character designs themselves are based on the askmlcblobs.tumblr.com art style.
A smaller, more focused companion piece. Each princess has her own laugh — ripped directly from the show and sourced to a specific clip 4as published alongside the game.
The regal solar monarch. The original Celestia laugh is warm, maternal, and unmistakable.
▶ Original laugh clip4as himself admits Luna's laugh doesn't quite fit her character — which has become part of the joke among fans.
▶ Original laugh clipThe changeling queen's sinister cackle is one of the show's most recognizable villain laughs.
▶ Original laugh clipThe first major villain of the series. Her echoing, dramatic laugh defined the season 1 pilot.
▶ Original laugh clipCelestia's hypothetical dark form from "A Royal Problem" — the rarest of the five, and a fan favorite.
▶ Original laugh clipIn 4as's own words, posted alongside the original release: "They are not wearing their regalia because they are off duty, obviously." The casual pajama look is canonical fan service — and 4as has confirmed no further characters will be added to Royal Boop. What you see is the complete set.
He also noted it took about five days to separate each laugh from its background music — a small but telling detail about the care that went into this tiny game.
The game is simple on the surface — but poke long enough and a few lovingly-built secrets reveal themselves.
The single most famous secret in the game. Poke Fluttershy exactly eight times and her sprite transforms into Flutterbat — the vampiric fruit-bat hybrid from the season 4 episode "Bats!". The transformation persists for that session and is visible in the icon bar. This was 4as's love letter to one of the most memorable episodes in the show's run, and discovering it is a rite of passage for new players.
Tip: count slowly. The transformation triggers on the eighth poke, not before.
Three characters in No Touching have music loops instead of (or in addition to) reactions: Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, and Pinkie Pie (listed in the credits as "Inkie"). 4as credited the source loops publicly on Flash Museum:
On February 16, 2015, 4as published what he called the final version of No Touching!, announcing he would add no more characters and was moving on to his next project. He kept that promise — the 45-character roster has stayed fixed ever since. That makes the current HTML5 re-release a faithful preservation of a specific moment in MLP fandom history, not a living game.
The short version of a fandom story that ties this page to the rest of the site.
Inspired by a photoshopped "I am the night" bat image with a chubby Gamer Luna pasted in, 4as vectorizes the chubby-pony style from askmlcblobs.tumblr.com and turns it into a poking toy. Over the next year he adds 45 characters — Mane 6, princesses, villains, background ponies, and community originals.
4as spends ~5 days isolating the show-accurate laughs for 5 princesses and queens. On Feb 16, he declares No Touching! feature-complete and moves on to other projects.
Adobe ends Flash support. No Touching! and Royal Boop become unplayable in modern browsers. The fandom mourns.
Rebuilt in Haxe + OpenFL, No Touching & Royal Boop returns to itch.io and Newgrounds — now playable on phones, tablets, and any modern browser. The preservation is faithful: no new characters, just keeping a fandom artifact alive.
A separate creator, ktet, adapts the same poking mechanic to Roblox Forsaken characters (Taph, Dusekkar, Builderman). The itch.io page reads "heavily inspired by 4as's work!" — explicit acknowledgment that without 4as's originals, this game would not exist. See our main fan site for Forsaken →
The game is embedded right at the top of this page — just scroll up and start poking. No download, no account, no setup. Prefer another platform? The toolbar under the game links to itch.io, Newgrounds, and Flash Museum.
On desktop, move your mouse left and right across the character. On a phone or tablet, press and drag. Each character has multiple reaction stages depending on how persistent you are.
Click the icons at the top of the screen to jump between any of the 45 ponies in No Touching, or any of the 5 princesses in Royal Boop. Each character has its own bespoke reaction art.
Try poking Fluttershy eight times to trigger Flutterbat. Listen for the music-loop characters (Octavia, Vinyl, Pinkie). Compare each princess's laugh to the show original. There is no fail state — just curiosity and silly reactions.
