No Touching Forsaken Not Loading? Fixes That Work
The game on the homepage runs an original SWF file through Ruffle, a WebAssembly-based Flash player that works in modern browsers. That is great for keeping the game alive, but it also means the first load has to download and compile a WebAssembly module before anything appears on screen. Most "not loading" reports come from that first load, a browser setting, or an extension — and almost all of them are fixable in a minute or two.
Work through this list top to bottom; the first few steps solve the large majority of cases.
1. Wait, Then Refresh
The very first time you open the page, Ruffle has to fetch its WebAssembly core before the game can start. On a slower connection this can take several seconds, during which you only see the loading spinner. Give it a moment. If the spinner is still there after roughly 30 seconds, refresh the page once — a fresh request often clears a stalled download.
2. Enable Hardware Acceleration
The game relies on your browser's graphics acceleration to render smoothly. If it loads but stutters, freezes, or shows a blank stage, turn hardware acceleration on:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → System → turn on "Use hardware acceleration when available", then restart the browser.
- Firefox: Settings → General → Performance → uncheck "Use recommended settings" and force hardware acceleration if needed.
- Safari: It is on by default; restart Safari if things look wrong.
3. Disable Ad Blockers and Privacy Extensions
Strict ad blockers, script blockers, or privacy extensions can block the Ruffle player because it loads from a CDN. Temporarily disable them for notouchingforsaken.com and reload. If the game appears, you have found the cause — add the site to your extension's allowlist so it stays working.
4. Update Your Browser
Ruffle needs WebAssembly support, which every current browser has but very old versions do not. Update to the latest version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari and try again. If you are on an outdated browser at work or school, a different network or device usually solves it.
5. Make Sure JavaScript Is Enabled
The player is JavaScript-driven, so if JavaScript is turned off in your browser the stage will stay empty. Check that JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings, then reload the page.
6. Clear the Cache and Try an Incognito Window
If an older, broken copy of a file got cached, the page may keep failing even after you fix the cause. Clear the site cache (or open the page in a private/incognito window, which ignores cached files). If it loads in incognito, clearing your browser cache will fix the normal window too.
7. On Mobile: Long-Press, Don't Tap
If the game loads but the beans do not react, the issue is the input, not the load. The game reads a long press, so press and hold your finger on a bean instead of tapping. See our mobile and desktop controls guide for the exact technique.
Still Not Loading?
If you have tried every step above and the page still fails to load, the loading overlay will show a "Failed to load the game" message. Email us at support@notouchingforsaken.com with your browser, device, and what you see, and we will help. You can also play the original directly from the creator ktet on itch.io while we look into it.
